Today I wanted to talk to you about Seeing What Christ Sees
1 Samuel 16:7 (King James Version)
7But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
What a bold statement God told Samuel by telling Him I have refused him. God was not refusing him because of how successful or how hansom he was, no because God was looking at the heart. Have you ever gone to look at Car. First it is the style that draws our attention, but then we go to see what is under the hood. Many times we look at situations and areas of our life and see it as they way everyone around us sees it. Instead of seeing it the way God sees it. God could see how great and powerful King David was going to be. He invested Himself in someone that no one else wanted to take the time to invest in. You see, God invests His time in us and sees us living life to the fullest. He sees us having a successful marriage, a successful attitude, a successful life. But we must be willing to take the next step and accept the investment God is desiring to do in our life.
He knows the return is out of this world.
Be Blessed,
Pastor Mark
