The Antinomy of Faith and Sense

WoW! What an awesome Service we had! This Sunday Mark Your Calendars. We will be having our One Year Anniversary. You don't wont to miss it. July 5, 2009. One Year and Counting. The Best is Yet to Come.

Hebrews 11:1 (King James Version)1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith and Sense are not the same thing. In fact they are an antinomy. An antinomy is two things that seem to contradict one another but in a real sense both are true in their own right. Faith is not sense and sense is not faith. Faith makes sense when you and I have the revelation of what Jesus is saying.

In the gospel of John verse 2:1-10 we see Jesus's first miracle. He told the men to take pots and fill them with water- this makes sense. Then He told them to draw the water out- this makes sense too. But finally He instructs them to give it to the governor - this did not make sense. The reason was because the governor wanted wine not water, but they received a miracle when they did it by faith, even when it did not make sense.

Today, move by your faith, It might not make sense, but on your way, your faith will make sense because you are moving by faith.

God Bless,

Pastor Mark
