Are you?

What an awesome and productive week and the best is yet to come.

2 Samuel 23:15-17 (King James Version)

15And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!

16And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.

17And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

What courage and commitment these three men had to their leader. They counted the cost and paid whatever the price. Their allegiance was to God, and their connection was to their leader. King David was a man of integrity and character. There are three things we can see here.

1. These men were dedicated to the cause and connected to the vision of their leader. We must be dedicated to the cause and connected to our leader.

2. Next they were hears and doers. They listened to King David, they were always ready to step to the plate. We must be willing to listen to our leader and not listen to the lies of the enemy.

3. Lastly they counted the cost and paid the price. They took hold of the vision of their leader. We must take on the vision of our leader, not just say it, but let it be our vision. The corporate world calls it "taking ownership." We take ownership by our commitment and our actions.

Today, are you one of these three mighty warriors or are you a hearer and not a doer.

Be a hearer and a doer and see your vision for your life come to pass too.

God Bless,

Pastor Mark

  1. I like this message. I pray everyday that I am all three and always listening and learning more about HIM and how he wants us to be. We are running with the vision, BOL, and you both as our Pastors. I pray that the best is yet to come!!
