Leading Vs. Managing

WOW! What an Awesome Service we had this past Sunday. If you missed it, you can view it on our website www.breathoflifechurch.com , but there is nothing like coming in person.

Matthew 4:19 (King James Version)

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Leadership is influence, nothing more or less. When you and I started following Christ, we were placed on the potters wheel. You know when God makes someone it's a process. There are 2 key points in this scripture.

1. Follow Me. As Christians we are to follow Christ in every area of our life. This is responding to the entire Word of God. Giving our finances ( 10% of our gross income to our local church and offering), our time (coming faithfully to the house of God, and our talents( serving with the gifts that God created us with for Him). Following Christ means following Him in our conversations, actions, and the way we live our life.

2. I Will Make you. This is the process of allowing God to develop the person from within. God starts making us by putting His hand on areas that are opposite and against His will in our life. Then He begins to tells us to grow up and start speaking His Word. People are afraid to allow God to make them, because they think they will never be able to accomplish what God promised in their life. Jesus says the very opposite. He said I have come that you may have life, and life more abundantly. Life is more than material goods; it's having a peace of mind, a healthy body, a healthy marriage, knowing God has your back.

1 Peter 5:10 (King James Version)But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

You will make it and you will come out ahead. Nothing is impossible for God to do in your life. You and I were predestined to succeed in life with Christ.

God Bless,

Pastor
